More than 180 people attended the Yerong Creek Tennis Club Ball.
It was a big success, we had a great band, great food … a big night.
- Sally Hunter
The event provided an ideal opportunity for ball-goers to dress in the club colours of Yerong Creek “blue and white.”
Member of the tennis club and one of the event organisers, Sally Hunter of Yerong Creek declared the ball a success.
“We had a great band, great food … a big night,” she said. She said the fundraising ball attracted people from throughout the Riverina and beyond.
“We had people travel from Shepparton (Victoria) and Ruby Yates travelled home from the Gold Coast where she attends university,” Miss Hunter said.
She said the event raised a lot of money for the Yerong Creek Tennis Club and the theme of wearing club colours had worked well. “The colour theme was great … not a person was out of theme,” she said.
And while the event was popular and well received she said the organisation had gone smoothly too.
“It was just a matter of organising a band and a caterer and coordinating with the bowling club for the bar plus decorating the hall,” she said.
