The aim is to provide a taste of the rural sector and share the opportunities offered by the show and all of its exhibits.
Lockhart Shire Council tourism and economic development officer Jennifer Connor expects about 1000 people to attend the Riverina town this weekend to participate in and view the various events.
She said market stalls in the main street would also be a draw card and funds raised from this section of the event were to be pledged to Riverina Bluebell. Mrs Connor said the event had evolved over the years to become a major tourism attraction for the region.
Lockhart’s Marie van Steyn said the events on March 2 and 3 would feature some 50 market stalls located under the historic verandahs.
She said visitors could expect to see buskers, street artists, big bands, and an art exhibition featuring previous winners of Spirit of Land awards with featured artists, Andrew Whitehead of Urana, Raeleen Pfiffier of The Rock, Kylie Van Tol of Wagga and Jenny Newbound of Coolamon.
