If it could ever be said that someone successfully mastered this it would be Mary Dale.
When the eulogy was read out at Mrs Dale’s funeral at St Barnabas Anglican Church in Henty it was stated that she took on the roles of wife, mother and full time career woman long before it was popular or considered ‘the norm.’
And some of the businesses she was involved in including the Hyway Store were open seven days a week.
Her legacy in Henty and southern NSW will live on, however, there are lessons to be learned in the way Mrs Dale lived her life.
“She had high ideals, and always had a table cloth on the table for meals, the family sat and ate at the table together and she had fresh flowers on the table from her garden,” it was also stated in the eulogy.

SEEING The Rock’s Briony Mazzocchi win the town’s annual triathlon on the weekend comes as a heartening coup for the region.
Interestingly Mrs Mazzocchi swapped from competition organiser to competitor to mix it with record numbers of fellow athletes.
The win was testament to the region’s sporting success. In fact, Mrs Mazzocchi’s son Luke, 12, was named Lockhart Shire’s sportsperson of the year during the Australia Day celebrations at Osborne earlier this year.
