The hotel licence was sold in 1999 before the community banded together and established the new licence, reopening the hotel in 2000.
Now a general store and a post office licensee Corey Beckett said the hotel had always been an important part of the community.
“It’s all pretty exciting and has always been an important part of Pleasant Hills,” he said.
The Pleasant Hills Community Hotel will celebrate its anniversary with a meal and live entertainment on March 24 at 1.30pm.
Tickets are $40 for an adult, $20 for a child and $120 for a family. Contact Suzanne Forck on 0428 293 047 for a booking or more information.
