Initial forecasts estimated the mercury to rise as high as 40. At the time of the Eastern Riverina Chronicle’s visit to the pool it was 38 degrees.
Pool manager Tammy Lenon said it had been a busy summer. She was expecting numbers at the pool to climb on Friday afternoon with more people taking the chance to enjoy a swim and beat the heat.
Aside from being a great place to swim the pool has earned a reputation for its ice cream. Mrs Lenon and her daughter Hannah confirmed that ice creams were certainly a popular purchase.
