Harvester gutted by fire at Mangoplah as RFS respond to two morning call-outs

The Rural Fire Service have already responded to two fires south of Wagga this morning.

The Mangoplah brigade responded to a call at 7.15am this morning after a harvester caught fire on a Holbrook Road property.

Eight trucks were deployed and contained the fire, but the harvester was completely gutted by the blaze, causing an estimated $500,000 worth of damage.

At around 9.50am local crews were called to a grass fire between the The Rock and Yerong Creek.

The fire occurred on the shoulder of The Olympic Highway and has already been contained.
