THE Osborne Football Club is rallying behind a key player injured in a car crash following the club’s premiership at the weekend.
George Alexander, 19, seriously injured his knee during the club’s celebrations on Sunday.
He was driving on the Osborne-Yerong Creek Road about 8.10am when the vehicle flipped, damaging his knee.
Alexander had played a key role in the club’s Hume Football League flag win at Walbundrie only hours earlier.
The teenager was flown to Canberra Hospital, where he remains.
Osborne president Jason Gooden said his teammates had travelled to the hospital to visit Alexander on Wednesday.
