Member for Farrer Sussan Ley, will open the Holbrook War Memorial Swimming Pool this Saturday, 9 December 2017 in an official ceremony at the pool. And the Henty War Memorial Swimming Pool will also be opened later in the same morning.
Greater Hume Shire Council will also unveil its new branding for the council at the facilities. Veterans of World War II and community members will attend the respective opening ceremonies.
Council has invested $3.58 million replacing outdated public swimming pool facilities in both towns.
Council was successful in attracting $1 million grant funding from the Australian Government’s National Stronger Regions Fund, with Council contributing $1 million from loan borrowings with the balance funded by existing reserves and local community contributions.
