OSBORNE registered a comfortable win over Culcairn at Osborne Sportsground, winning by 34 runs in a low-scoring round four encounter.
The Osborne bowling and fielding was excellent with the Lions battling all innings to finally be bowled out in the last over for 104.
Connor Galvin was the leading wicket taker with 3/19, but it was the brilliant bowling by 17-year-old Ed Perryman that was the highlight.
The talented sportsperson bowled his leg spin superbly to take 1/8 off eight overs that included five maidens as he mesmerized the Culcairn bats.
Clay Galvin 1/18 off seven overs and Nick Perryman 1/15 off six added great support to an impressive display in the field.
Mitch Godde was the highest contributor for Culcairn with the bat, compiling 22 as all batsmen struggled against the Osborne disciplined performance with the ball.
Osborne lost an early wicket in the run chase before the experienced pair of Luke Richardson and Darren Howard to control.
The pair added 94 runs for the second wicket with Howard finishing on 37, while Richardson was out for an excellent 60.
Dylan Pumpa was a standout for Culcairn with the ball claiming 3/11 in a quality spell, as Howard and Richardson got Osborne safely home.
