MINOR CRASH: A two-car crash on the Hume near Albury could have been much more serious at a higher speed.
A section of the Hume Highway near the border, which had been reduced to a speed limit of 80km/h, saw fewer serious crashes according to VicRoads.

“Since the 80km/h speed limit was adopted in April 2015, there have been no fatalities or serious injury crashes,” regional director Nicki Kyriakou said.
VicRoads deputy chief executive Peter Todd said crash data showed the freeway’s reduced speed limit had done its job, but more may be needed.
