Lions Club of Henty, supported by our local branch of the Bendigo Bank, are again holding a New Year’s party at the Club. Party goers are encouraged to round up a table of friends or family.
Children are free (bring your own) and a plate to share for supper is encouraged. Party commences at 8pm and ends at midnight, with music supplied by a live act.

THE weather was perfect for Henty’s first combined Carols in the Park and Christmas Fair. Riverlife’s Fair was well attended with a number of activities to keep the kids entertained.
Lions cooked up a feast, though they were constantly scrounging for sausages to meet the demand and The Lifestyle Centre just met the demand for drinks. Many of the stall holders were pleased with the attendance and their sales.
The carols were enjoyed, as they are each year and the supper kept most till the end.

OUR schools have wound up for another year and judging from their newsletters there is a lot of planning already in hand for next year. A safe and fun break for all students.

THE Henty Men’s Shed is assisting the Henty Show Society in lining the walls of their secretary’s office with 60 sheets of ply. It is hoped that the office will be also insulated. A split-system air conditioner is also being considered.

ROTARY members placed more botanical signs in the government dam over the weekend. Many of the local species are covered in seed at the moment and sheep grazing has encouraged regeneration of many of the plants species. Anyone in Henty looking for a shrub is most welcome to collect seed and try these in their garden.
