SUCCESSIVE years of giving back to her community, in the form of volunteering at the local show, has led to great things for Clare Norbury.

Miss Norbury, 19, has been named 2016 The Rock Showgirl and now prepares to represent her show society and region in the zone finals next year.
She said the win was welcomed and somewhat surprising given the fact that there was no show at The Rock this year due to the wet weather. “It is something I always wanted to do,” she said.
Over the years Miss Norbury said she had enjoyed helping out at the event and completing tasks which ranged from making sandwiches through to stewarding in the equestrian rings.
In fact, she has volunteered at the event since she was 8 years old.
