The Lockhart Shire Council are warning drivers to be wary on the road ahead of Fridays rain forecast.
It is predicted that 20 to 40mm will fall on Friday.
The additional rainfall on already watersoaked land is expected to close many roads in the region.
Council is anticipating the following roads will be closed following the rain:
- Urana Lockhart Road at Brookong Creek causeways
- Green Street, Lockhart
- Lockhart Boree Creek Road at Boree Creek
- Western Road
- Yuluma Road
- The Rock Mangoplah Road at The Rock
- Tootool Mittagong Road
- Tinamba and Wattles Lanes
SES stresses that people should not ride, walk or drive into floodwater.

Roads in the Greater Hume Shire region could also be impacted with several roads still closed.
Those roads include:
- Triggs Road
- Burma Road is now closed to all traffic at the Bowna Creek/Lake Hume crossing until further notice
There is water over the road at:
- Urana Road between Walbundrie and Rand
- A reminder to drivers please be careful and drive to road conditions. There are many affected roads
