
HENTY Public School will be presenting Matilda for the gala production this year. Practice has begun in earnest for the big day which will be Tuesday, September 13. There will be both a matinee and evening performance.

HENTY Lion’s Club lost a long term member in Col Hagan last week, with the funeral being held Tuesday.

CARPE Diem - Men's Mental Health Theatre Performance – October. The play is being held at the Community Club and stars John Wood. John is well known on Australian TV and theatre screens It is believed that there is time allocated at the end of the play to meet and talk to the performers about mental health issues.

THE Pyjama Disco, held last Friday had everything needed to make a great evening of it. Plenty of food, dazzling lighting, music and smoke. Only thing missing was a good number of children. About six or seven children had the entire Memorial Hall to themselves. It is hoped that the not-for-profit organisation will visit Henty again.

HENTY Rotary Club is calling for paper for recycling this week as they are to send off a semi load of paper on Saturday. This recycling project supports their club’s youth programs. The following week the club is preparing to meet its new District Governor, Michael Milston, from Orange.
