
We thought we might have got wet, however apart from a very short light shower as we were starting, the weather held off, the fairways were dry and sand greens fast.
Fifteen golfers played on Sunday for the July Monthly Medal and the Fox and Lillee trophy, with the winner on the day Martin Smith with 82 off the stick, net 66.
Well done, you’ve still got it Martin!
Runner-up was Greg Kent with 82/68, another good score.
Other scores were Cameron Wood 99/70, Steve Kishere 103/71, Michael Roberts 83/73, Janelle Doust 95/73, Rino Feltrin 89/74, Tony Nelson 96/74, John Scott 93/75, Bruce Carboon 106/77, Stuart Lowe 105/81, Heather Lowe 113/81, Lilie Scott 117/82, Geoff Moss 96/82 and Braidan Godde 104/86.
Nearest the pin winners were M Smith on 3rd and B Godde on 12th.
Sunday was also the second round of our Club Championships.
Sunday, July 10 is round three and also Rodwell’s trophy, a Stroke event.
The fourth round is July 31.
Please note again that our starting time has changed this year and is now 11am for 11.30am hit off.
It is great to also see some social golfers out on the course playing a few holes or 18.
When our volunteers put a lot of time into keeping the course in great condition, it is good to see people using it.
The Culcairn Golf Club hosted the Riverina Ladies Sand Greens Tournament yesterday with 67 entries from all over the Riverina.
