Residents encouraged to interact with police
With a spate of break-ins around Lockhart, the police are calling for more people to get involved with a local group.
The Police and Community Consultation Committee meets every three months and keeps police connected with the community.
The group, which has been running for years, is currently low on numbers.
The Lockhart Shire Council has sent letters to community groups in a bid to encourage more people to get involved.
The next meeting is at 10am on Tuesday August 30 with the location to be confirmed.
For more information on the group or how to get involved contact the Lockhart Shire Council General Manager Rod Shaw (02) 6920 5305.
