A TEENAGER returned from volunteering in the clean-up of a horrific fatal crash to find his own vehicle had been deliberately vandalised.
Riley Martin has been volunteering with The Rock Rural Fire Brigade for three years. But the 18-year-old’s grief of attending his first fatal accident was compounded by discovering his Toyota Hilux parked at the shed had the side window smashed and ripped off.
“Lucky they didn’t smash the window or steal the fridge,” Riley said. “It’s not so much about the mirror, it’s more who did it and the inconvenience of it.”
The brigade has rallied around Riley, calling on anyone who may have witnessed the senseless attack to report it. The post has since been shared 150 times.
