Max Mildren
Lockhart’s dedicated bugle player Max Mildren has died at aged 84.
Mr Mildren played The Last Post at all Anzac and Remembrance Day ceremonies, even playing at the 100th anniversary of Anzac Day.
He was a member of the Lockhart Sub Branch and supported other members in the role of welfare officer.
Mr Mildren also worked with other musicians and even got the Lockhart Town Band started again after a recess.
The funeral will be held at St Aidan's Anglican Church in Lockhart at 10am on Friday February 26.
