SOUTHSIDE netball teams continue to perform well at regional tournaments. The 13-and-under Blue and 15-and-under Navy sides were both successful at the recent Corio tournament.The Blue team won six of its seven preliminary matches before beating Warrnambool 13-6 in the grand final.The Navy side, which was unbeaten for the tournament, defeated Lower Yarra Valley by two goals in a thrilling grand final. Last Sunday, both teams competed in the Geelong tournament.Southside Blue made it to the grand final, but lost a close encounter by two goals.Navy lost its semi-final by one goal in overtime.
