Yerrinbool Railway Garden Residents are invited to explore this garden weekly. The community garden was founded in 2018 by volunteers who wanted to grow healthy and fresh produce. There is also a mini market on the fourth Saturday of the month. Railway Street fresh food and produce market Grab fresh produce, plants, organic sourdough breads and more which are made and grown in the Highlands. Crop Swap Robertson Exchange crops, plants and magazines at this weekly meet-up. People do not have to come with crops to take anything from the table. No money is exchanged. All are welcome. People must be members of Mittagong Seniors to participate, with an annual fee of $10 and a weekly attendance fee of five dollars. Volunteering opportunities through Volwing Volwing is the region's volunteer resource organisation, where people can make a difference in the community, learn new skills and make friends. There are various positions available that cater to many interests. They include teaching learners to drive, greeting tourists at museums, serving food, being a reading assistant at a primary school, tending to gardens, and more.
