It was a capacity crowd, we had to set up extra chairs.
- Louise Scott
Mrs Scott together with Nancy Smith worked hard with members of the community to showcase fashion from throughout the ages.
The aim was to create a quality event that could raise funds for projects coordinated by The Rock Hall and Museum.
As the rain tumbled down and thunder rattled outside 137 people gathered into The Rock Hall to watch the fashion parade on Saturday.
“It was a capacity crowd and we had to set up extra chairs,” Mrs Scott said.
“People just kept coming.”
Up to 120 gowns and garments were modelled on the catwalk and there were plenty of memories shared.
“You could hear people talking when the old school uniforms were modelled,” Mrs Scott said.
“It was a resounding success … and why would you sit at home when you could come along see the fashion and enjoy a fabulous afternoon tea,” she said.
