The dual-tunnel “Racer” slide was announced in June after months of community anger at plans to demolish the enormous Rampage slide forced council back to the drawing board.

Deputy infrastructure manager Julian Geddes said he was confident about the revised plans.

“After the positive response we received from the stakeholder reference group we are feeling confident that the revised plans meet the needs of pool users,” Mr Geddes said.

“Now we want to confirm this with the wider community and I encourage people to review the new plans and complete the survey.”
