JASON Morey and Grant Power are attending an IGA conference on the Gold Coast. This is a training exercise for Grant as Jason shows him the ropes of the business. They should be returning to Henty refreshed and possibly with a tan.

UPA Community Social Group travelled over to Holbrook to visit the bakery’s outlet at the Caltex Food Court. The weather was a bit dismal; however, a small group of adventurous ones walked the few blocks after lunch to the submarine to re-join the bus. The bus travelled from Henty via Cookardinia and one of their group provided an informative history lesson of their life growing up in Cookardinia. They returned via Culcairn and are already looking forward to the next trip.

HENTY Historic Society is gearing up to capture a small number of interviews of members of the community. These are a combination of life stories and capturing a short interview of items that are important to them. The items can be scanned or captured with photographs. These interviews and items will form part of the archival history of Henty. Members will advertise availability of this service when all “nuts & bolts” are worked out and they will have a small band of competent “producers” available to create personal histories.
Anyone interested can book with Ken Dale to arrange appropriate sessions.
