Eunice McRae and Lyn Jacobsen attended the luncheon held in Wagga to honour Elaine Armstrong OAM, Ann Adams, CWA State secretary, and Anne Phegan, our Riverina Group president.
Lyn Jacobsen gave a report on some of the highlights from the recent State Conference.
Eunice McRae raffled a patchwork quilt she’d made for the Cancer Biggest Morning Tea, and it made $1200. Well done, Eunice.
In the Land Cookery, the results were coffee cake; 1st Margaret Hasler and 2nd Lyn Jacobsen. Rhubarb cake: 1st Lyn Jacobsen and 2nd Eunice McRae.
Next month we will have moist coconut cake, iced in a 20cm tin and chocolate sponge – two x 20cm tins un-iced, raspberry jam filling.
You can use your own recipe or the recipes in the June journals.
Our Bunnings barbecue held last Saturday was a huge success, raising over $1100 for Rebecca and Matt Hilton to help with some of their ongoing expenses due to Bek’s serious medical condition.
Our grateful thanks to Donna, Tim and Maddie McRae for helping on the roster, along with our members and husbands.
Our next meeting will be at the Albury Commercial Club at 10.30am on July 12.
