For Henty, it was possibly its poorest performance this season and has put a large dint in its top-two prospects come finals.

The win has put Magpies back inside the top six after Howlong were beaten by a rampant second half performance from Rand Walbundrie Walla at Walbundrie.

The Giants were in big trouble at half time, trailing by four goals after Howlong started far the better with Bradley Fyffe and Tyson Logie on fire.

A rejuvenated Giants turned on a brilliant second half to boot eleven goals to three to run out convincing 26-point winners.

Ryan Lavery was again dominant for the Giants, with recent addition Lewis Gardiner also playing a starring role.

Jindera put an end to Culcairn’s recent good run of form with a 93-point hammering at Culcairn after the home team led at quarter-time.

After trailing by 13 points at the first change, Jindera cut loose to kick a staggering 18 of the final 20 goals in the game.

Live wire small forward Sam Crawshaw put in an Eddie Betts like performance to dazzle the Lions defence with six goals in a classy display.

Bulldogs defender Matt Osborne completely blanketed the dangerous John Robbins, while Sam Myor dominated the midfield for Jindera.

Osborne and Lockhart played out a dour local derby at Lockhart with the visitors prevailing by 53 points to stay unbeaten.

Duncan McMaster continued his great season for Osborne with a best afield effort. Matt Clark, Matt Rava and Trent Haddrill were other stars.

Lockhart were held goalless after half-time despite the excellent efforts of Simon Hounsell, Jordan Harrington and Jack Muldoon.

The remaining match saw CDHBU get back on the winners’ list with a hard-fought victory over old Coreen FL rivals Billabong Crows at Urana.

Apart from the first quarter when CDHBU kicked six goals to one, the Crows matched the combine in every other facet of the game to lose by nine points.

Jeremy Stevenson and Tim Cooper kicked four goals each for CDHBU, while Tim Austin was most effective for the Crows with three goals.
