The branch, which has been operating an opportunity shop in Lockhart for many years, had relocated to newer premises in the Monteray Cafe.
In an endeavour to maintain the history of these premises and to allow visitors to the shop to soak up this history, a collection of photographs is being collected.
Recently, the original owners of the Monterey Cafe, the Vakas family, returned and visited the Red Cross Shop.
From time to time many visitors, new and old, are welcomed to the shop and are overwhelmed by the variety of recycled clothing and items for sale.
The Red Cross Shop assists many families meet the ever increasing cost of living.
