But people across the region of varying fitness levels are willing to burpee for one kilometre to raise money for youth homelessness and domestic violence victims.
Obstacle course constructors Spartan Race has set this burpee challenge and events have been organised at The Rock and Wagga.
“Most people have told me they’d pay me not to do them,” FreshFit Coaching personal trainer and health coach Sonja Vieira said.
“Being able to combine my work with something that is a great cause makes it feel like I’m making a difference.
“It’s also the challenge of wondering if I can do a kilometre of burpees.”
Mrs Vieira said people should work on their cardio, squat jumps, planks and push ups to train for the challenge.
Her business FreshFit Coaching will run the event at the recreation grounds at The Rock on May 21 from 8am.
Kylie Grimes from KGPT will run an event at Jubilee Park on May 21 from 8am.
Registrations can be made for The Rock event via FreshFit Bootcamp – The Rock on Facebook or calling Mrs Vieira on 0437 456 184.
Registrations for the Wagga event can be made via KGPT on Facebook.
