One day, while Lyn was there, they made over 4200 scones and used 50 litres of cream. Lyn also worked on cutting the scones and cooking them – over 500 per hour.
The CWA used around 2.5 tonnes of Manildra flour, and 18,000 Madura tea bags. The total scones sold was 53,872 – a new record!
At the next meeting, May 10 at the Commercial Club in Albury, Land Cookery will be a sultana cake and six Monte Carlos. There will be a plant swap and a guest speaker.
