B Love’s team also suffered a loss agains B Dillon’s team 26 to 10 and finally P Jenkinson’s boys failed to come home with a loss against G Chambeyon’s team 34 to 12. Lockhart have the bye next week and hopefully pick up the performance levels with time to regroup. It was a hot day with little breeze and the Rules boys really had the home town advantage. Two games of singles Club Championships were played on Sunday. First timer, Jess Shilo, jumped out of the blocks top lead Club Champion, Jason Healy 11 to 1 after seven ends. Jason made a come back and after 28 ends the scores were level at 21-all. Like a true champ, Jason, finally defeated Jess 31 to 22. This was a great game of bowls to watch.
In the game number two Bruce Rayner played Terry Mildren. After a close game at the beginning Bruce ran away winning 31 to 12.
With a bye next weekend Round 2 of the Singles will be played as well as some Pairs games. Could bowlers please check the draws and let the organisers know if you are playing.
Jackpot Bowls saw one game played and the jackpot did not go off again.
On Sunday Max Montgomery, Peter Jenkinson, Colin Ryan and Stewart Carn, travelled to the RSL Club at Wagga for Diggers and President’s Day. The scores did not reflect the enjoyment that the team received and all returned home happy with their performance.
