Experienced debaters from Billabong High in years 7 to 10 led three workshops for students in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 from nearby primary schools.
These schools included Culcairn Public School, St Joseph's School, Henty Public School, St Paul's School (Henty), Holbrook Public School and Yerong Creek Public School.
Typically students from these schools will attend Billabong High when they start high school.
These schools will compete against each other throughout the year now that they have been taught the basics of debating.
After the workshops the year 6 students debated if homework should be banned.
