After months of intensive planning and seven weeks of rehearsals, students are just a week away from taking to the stage at the St Paul’s Chapel.
The production has required input of all year groups and students who have taken ownership of the production, according to drama teacher Stacey Hartwich.
The sets have been designed by art students and built by wood and metal work students, while drama students are looking after everything else including directing, lighting, costumes, programs, props and hair and make up.
“We also have the food technology classes coming in for the Friday night showing with a Wicked Witching Hour from 6pm,” Ms Hartwich said.
“They will be preparing food and drinks (for ticket holders) to purchase before the show.
“Most everything with the production has been done by the students.
“It’s the kids show, they have put in all their efforts so we can’t ask for more.”
Tickets for the public performances are now available, with residents urged to purchase tickets to a show the students believe has wide appeal.
The production cast includes Caroline Ellis as Dorothy, Racheal Muller as Lion, Benton Lieschke as Tin Man, Jyden Braley as Scarecrow, Ian Ellis as the Wicked Witch, Meg Fruedenstein as the Good Witch and Tori Ellis as the Wizard of Oz.
