Voices@Henty aims to discover rural and regional unsigned musicians and performers under 25.
While officially being the first year the event will appear, it has its roots in last year’s Telstra Discovery Roadshow heat.
Nick Kingswell from the latest series of the television show, The Voice is joining the program as a judge and mentor for competition entrants.
The competition will be held on Tuesday September 17 at 12.30pm on the main stage at Farm Gate near the Field Days’ south side.
Henty Machinery Field Days media manager Kim Woods said six finalists would be chosen from the entrants to perform on the day and that Mr Kingswell was excited about coming to Henty to hear and see the talent on display.
The winner/winners will receive $500, a recording session with Albury Sound and Lighting and further mentoring by industry professionals.
