19 May 12 | THE Western District Women’s Bowling Association started their District Triples at the Workies Valley Club on a lovely sunny days for the first two rounds of this competition.
18 May 12 | THERE was quite a good roll up for our presentation day’s bowls last Saturday with 18 bowlers attending. Three matches of triples were played with the following results: Tom Apps, Rod Cooper and Pat Owen drew with Terry Ricketts, Bob Owen and Joan Clark 22/22;
James’s fantastic four
18 May 12 | TATHRA’S James Reynolds has been crowned the best bowler in the Bega Valley in not one, but four disciplines. Reynolds, 31, capped off a quartet of victories by winning the Far South Coast District Bowls Associations (FSCDA) triples title on Sunday.

17 May 12 | THE inaugural Men of League Western Region Bowls Day will see the West Dubbo Bowling Club awash with a sea of patriotism and the colours of the bowlers’ favourite footy teams on Friday, June 29.

16 May 12 | Friday night bowls come to a close this week with the cold nights arriving but you can nominate a team for Saturday afternoons with the same concept.

16 May 12 | Having knocked out most of the opponents, the last few contenders were fighting for a spot in the ladies major singles final.
15 May 12 | In Handicap Pairs two more matches were played on Saturday with mixed results, score wise.
15 May 12 | THE Triples final championship at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club Valley Women’s Bowling Club provided some great bowling with Judy Kennedy, Barbara Bryce and Margaret Thwaites defeating Beryl Evans, Ruth Harries and Barbara Watters 25-22.
Railway gets winner on board
15 May 12 | FINALLY, Dubbo has a winning player from the Railway Master Pairs. In Friday’s final of the $25,000 five-day tournament, Railway general manager Jay Porter played with former State teammate John Green from Corrimal in the Illawarra.
