Holbrook driver Bronson Butcher will return to the USA as soon as March to race Legend cars at the Las Vegas “Bullring” and Toyota Speedway, Irwindale, Los Angeles.
He received the schedules a couple of weeks ago and after discussions with the Spencer Clark Driven Team, decided there was a number of benefits in getting there for the start of the season.
“We can take advantage of the practice days at the tracks, and if we can raise the sponsorship, there may be opportunities to return for a couple of major events later in the year,” Bronson said.
One such event is the Million dollar Legend car race at Charlotte in July. Based on 800 entries, the winner of the ‘A’ main final will receive $250,000 and last over the line would be guaranteed $10,000. Being an off weekend in NASCAR, some of the NASCAR drivers are expected to participate.
This year Bronson is in Year 11 at Trinity College, Albury. He hopes to return to the Bullring later in the year for a major race where he would step up to a ‘late model’ race car.
His first trip for 2010 will see Bronson race seven events at Las Vegas and two in Los Angeles, over a seven week period. People will be able to track the teams preparations and progress through the new website
