STAR SUPER VETERAN

15 Oct, 2008 06:35 AM
The Fred Wilson Memorial Bowls Day was played at Lockhart last Saturday with forty bowlers participating, including members of the Wilson family with their mother, Biddy being a keen spectator.

Club President John Parsons made a brief but touching reference to the memory of Fred and how he lived and breathed bowls with special mention made of the fact that Keith and Rhonda Edgerton provided the prizes.

Club Patron, Peter Strong endorsed the prior remarks and added his memory of a good friend and bowler. Peter Strong as skipper, playing with D Hughes and Shane Hughes won the day with Col Ryan, Scott Conlon and Eileen Hughes coming in second.
