Osborne caused a huge upset at home by hammering defending premiers Henty by 57 runs. The morale boosting win will give the club a much needed boost after forfeiting the previous round to Henty Colts.
Chasing the home sides first day score of 164, Henty were expected to have little trouble in passing the Osborne total and keep alive hopes of a double chance come finals.
Osborne opening bowler Sam Terlich had other ideas and together with fellow opening bowler Jeremy Bahr, they shattered the Swampies top and middle order to leave them reeling at 6/39.
Terlich finished a great day’s work with 5/31 off eighteen overs while Bahr claimed 2/34. A last wicket stand of thirty four by Cameron Doughty and Daniel Hore got Henty past the century to finish on 107.
