OSBORNE SMASH STRUGGLING TIGERS

07 May, 2008 04:08 PM
Osborne completed a very easy win over the struggling RW Tigers at Osborne, winning a very one sided encounter by a whopping 149 points.

Matt Gleeson and Coach Graham Hart both dominated up forward with five goals each, while Brett Powell and Adam Gooden bagged three each to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Both Gleeson and Gooden were amongst the best players a field, while Hayden Gleeson, Luke Heyme and Marty Bahr were others to shine in an impressive showing.

The Tigers first half was forgettable with it failing to score a goal until the third term and finishing with a match total of just three. Ruckman Brendan Habermann was easily their best.

Tigers coach Dale Smith has a huge challenge ahead of him to keep his troops competitive with a long season looming if they can’t regain some playing depth and much needed confidence.
