CULCAIRN v WALLA

Culcairn showed no mercy on rivals Walla, keeping them goalless for the match in a thumping 150 point win. Lions Coach Luke Donnan starred with eight goals and Hayden Coulson (4).

It was a significant percentage boost for Culcairn (150.5), who are locked in a crucial battle for a top two spot with Howlong (189.9), Jindera (236.8) and BB Saints (182.5).

BB SAINTS v MURRAY MAGPIES

BB Saints responded in savage fashion to its recent thrashing by Jindera in the previous round, by doing the same to Murray Magpies at the Lavington Panthers Oval.

The match of the round pitted the leagues two most improved sides with the Magpies sitting in fourth place and the Saints in fifth prior to the game.

The Saints however made the match their own, completely dominating all facets of the clash and ran out winners by a comprehensive 108 points and severely denting the magpies pride and confidence.

Speedy midfielder Brett Guest kicked six goals, while Nathan Scott, Luke Schilg and Joey Boulton provided great drive. 15 goals to 4 was the result of a dominant second half by the Saints.

SWAMPIES v LOCKHART

Henty continued its impressive 2010 season by walloping a very disappointing Lockhart. The Swampies turned up the heat in a one sided second half and romped home by 79 points.

Andrew Wilson, Simon Hillier and Grant Gardiner all kicked four goals for Henty, with Greg Schuller chipping in with three. Jimmy Ellis and Al Edis were other stars for Henty.

Henty are sitting in eighth place on the ladder just one win and percentage behind the 4th, 5th and 6th place sides. Osborne is sitting in seventh place above Henty.

TIGERS v HOLBROOK

RW Tigers came away 31 point winners from its trip to Holbrook, but were relatively unimpressive in doing so, taking well into the final term to seal the win.

Martin Semmler in his 200th game for Holbrook starred with three goals and plenty of class. Mitch Palmer continued his stellar season, while Ewan Scholz, Russ Jones and Aaron Pitson were solid.

Tigers Coach Clint Gilson stood out with four telling goals. Guy Telford and Brendan Simmons were outstanding in defence while James Corrigan - Dale kicked three goals.

OSBORNE v CDHBU

Osborne inflicted a heavy 161 point loss onto CDHBU, with Matt Gleeson (8), Corey Munson (6) and Jamie Parr (6) starring up forward. Adam Gooden with forty plus possessions was unstoppable.

If Osborne can defeat the Murray Magpies this week, they will take the Magpies place in the top six. The winner of this game could also get the sixth place come finals.

HOWLONG v COLEAMBALLY

League leaders Howlong were made to work hard for its win at Coleambally, with the home team taking a half time lead before the Spiders took control in the second half.

Howlong who were very inaccurate kicking just eleven goals from thirty scoring shots were best served by Adam Hansen, Steve Church and Jay Banks.

CROWS v JINDERA

Billabong Crows put in a season best performance by holding premiership favourites Jindera to a 61 point win. The Crows showed great tenacity with Coach Danny Kirchen leading the way.
