The Hume league finals make up looks to be set following round 17. With just three rounds to play it would seem unlikely the current top six change.
Walla looks to have blown its chances following a surprisingly heavy loss at home to Howlong, in Brad Watkins 200th match for Walla.
The Spiders win has given them much needed breathing space with a mixed final three matches ahead of them. They only need to win against either Holbrook or Henty to secure a spot.
Holbrook suffered its third straight loss when they again disappointed in the final term away to Jindera. The Brookers are assured of finals berth but won’t want to drop to sixth.
Lockhart with games against the top three teams to finish, have also secured a finals spot, but three losses would see them drop to sixth and a finals clash with most likely Jindera.
Billabong Crows only chance is very remote - they need to win its final two matches and hope that Howlong lose its final two matches against Holbrook or Henty.
Culcairn after slaughtering the struggling BB Saints remain in top position and if they can successfully negotiate a tricky away game to Lockhart this Saturday, they will finish there.
Osborne and Jindera are both locked on 14 wins, with Osborne holding a 30% percentage advantage. Both have two easy games to finish and a match each against the dangerous Lockhart.
If the form guide goes to plan, it would appear that Jindera will be the side finishing third. Holbrook, Howlong and Lockhart will all be keen to avoid sixth position to avoid a first final against the Bulldogs.
