CULCAIRN AND HENTY EVENLY BALANCED
Third placed Culcairn has given itself a great chance of an upset win over top team Henty, after an enthralling days play at Culcairn.
The Lions who have shown some good form of late compiled a very competitive final total of 6/218, with three of its top order all reaching half centuries.
Openers Vince Chaffey (58) and Brad Ravenna (54) put on an excellent opening stand of one hundred and three to set up the good days work with the bat.
It has been an outstanding return from injury by Ravenna, with his two innings both passing the half century and a huge boost to the Lions top order.
Steve Brand (52) and Jake Hodges (27) finished off well at the end of the innings to set the Swampies batting order a testing task this Saturday.

COLTS DOMINATE LOCAL DERBY
A dominant bowling display by Holbrook Colts captain Jason Weaven has put his team in a commanding position after the first days play against Holbrook.
Holbrook after winning the toss and batting were bundled out for just 62, with the veteran Weaven taking 6/27 off eighteen overs in a fine display of seam bowling.
Colts only needed three bowlers, with Jimmy Grills taking 2/19 off thirteen overs and left arm spinner Will Heriot taking 2/12 off ten overs.
Only three Holbrook batsmen made double figures with Kevin Drum (15) top scoring before falling to an outstanding outfield catch by Grills who covered thirty five metres to complete the catch.
With nineteen overs to bat Colts lost the early wicket of Dylan Fairall to Drum, before Robbie Mackinlay and jack Cookson steadied the ship to steer the Colts into safety.
Mackinlay (32) was run out in the second last over, with Colts well placed to consolidate second spot on the ladder next week, resuming at 2/46.
OSBORNE BATS PERFORM WELL
Osborne has kept alive its finals hopes with a solid batting display against TRYC at Yerong Creek last Saturday, compiling 8/231 at the close of play.
It was not all easy going in the first half of the innings with TRYC bowlers led by Wade Murphy well on top with Osborne struggling at 4/52.
Murphy playing his first game in two years had the remarkable figures of 2/0 off his first six overs, before Leigh Schneider and Darren Howard rescued the innings.
The experienced pair added 125 runs for the fifth wicket, with Schneider (75no) and Howard making (65). Ben Davis chipped in with (23).
Murphy finished with 3/18 off eleven overs, while skipper Todd Hannam claimed 4/56 in a fifteen over stint.
An Osborne win next week will put plenty of pressure on Holbrook who is in danger of losing fourth place and a finals birth and staring defeat against Colts.
