18 Nov 09 | Culcairn retained second place on the ladder by easily beating the Holbrook Colts who just like their other team was short on a few key players. The Colts started reasonably well with James “Higgins” Ross compiling an elegant (27) and with Simon Montague (25) took Holbrook to 1/48, before the wickets tumbled.
11 Nov 09 | Section 1 hosted Burrumbuttock at Walbundrie due to the show being held at Holbrook and this saw the Brookers continue the winning streak . Jarrod Hibberson and Dougal McKay were the stars in a good team effort to see the team win 84 to 58 games.

28 Oct 09 | Henty overcame a middle order batting collapse to eventually record an easy win over Culcairn in the opening round of the HDCA 2009/10 season at Culcairn. The Swampies resumed at 1/24 chasing the small Lions total of 138. Grant Gardiner (34) and Al Edis (26) both started well but were dismissed after looking set. Grant Forest also fell for (27).

The tall leg spinner wrecked the Lions middle and lower order claiming the impressive figures of 5/36 to put the Swampies in control.

14 Oct 09 | Murray Cricket Council has taken out the Gorrel Cup for 2009 that concluded at Barooga on last week. The Gorrel Cup is played between the four Riverina Zone cricket councils and is the commencement of the selection process for the State under 17 side.
