In form Henty leg spinner Shannon Terlich claimed another five wicket haul, to send
his team into the Holbrook DCA grand final in a fortnight with a win over Culcairn at Henty.
Terlich who has had an outstanding season with both bat and ball, also made a very handy (37no) to guide his team home in a tricky run chase.

Culcairn pair Steven Brand (157) and Jamie Cooper (165) combined last Saturday to record an amazing opening partnership of 337 against Osborne at Culcairn. The partnership is believed to be a Holbrook DCA record with many of the association’s stalwarts never witnessing or remembering such a score line in the past fifty plus seasons.

The Swampies resumed at 1/24 chasing the small Lions total of 138. Grant Gardiner (34) and Al Edis (26) both started well but were dismissed after looking set. Grant Forest also fell for (27).
21 Oct 09 | HENTY ON TOP AT CULCAIRN
Henty have taken the upper hand against Culcairn after the first day of the HDCA match of the round at Culcairn with leg spinner Shannon Terlich the star for Henty.
The tall leg spinner wrecked the Lions middle and lower order claiming the impressive figures of 5/36 to put the Swampies in control.

The Gorrel Cup is played between the four Riverina Zone cricket councils and is the commencement of the selection process for the State under 17 side.
