Tea Party at Billabong High School

04 Aug, 2010 08:19 AM
It was a full house for Billabong High Schools (BHS) annual Creative Arts Performance last week with tickets sold out for both nights.

This year’s theme was ‘The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ with BHS’s own twist on the characters from Lewis Carroll’s famous tale of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ so they had the ‘Tweedles’, the ‘Helper Bunnies’, Alice, Alice Cooper and of course, ‘The Mad Hatter’.

In addition to dance numbers and both drama and musical performances, the theme that linked the show was the issue of bullying. The school thought it was important to entertain as well as inform the audiences.

Teachers Sandra Taylor and Paul Velikans were coordinators for over 100 students from years 7 to 12.
