SUSSAN Ley is celebrating the prize of a fourth term as Member for Farrer after galloping away from Labor candidate Christian Emmery.
The popular Liberal Party member said she was "very happy with the result", which may see her leap the fence into government as the prospect of Tony Abbott leading a hung parliament increases by the minute.
Despite the enormous swing towards her Coalition cohorts however, Mrs Ley was refusing to get carried away when contacted at about 10pm.
"I think it's still too early to say at this stage," Mrs Ley said.
"I'm hoping we are able to hold onto the seats we've got and I'll be working under Tony Abbott as prime minister."
