10 Mar 10 | Culcairn have won the right to play Henty in this weekends Holbrook and District Cricket grand final, following a rain affected drawn match against Holbrook at Culcairn.

10 Mar 10 | Farmers came out to see a torrent of water come bursting down the dry bed of the Billabong Creek on Sunday. Flowing past the Hume Highway bridge, water spread out over the creek banks onto the flood plain and filled the lagoon.

The former Sydney Swan premiership player and three times Osborne premiership star, made an impact, compiling a stylish (36) to top score for Osborne in their loss to Henty.

TWO DEAD
20 Jan 10 | Two men are dead and their families traumatised following a head-on crash by two trucks on the Hume Highway south of Holbrook. Police have identified the deceased in the north bound truck as Brett Fitzgerald, aged 37 years of Hoppers Crossing, Victoria.

16 Dec 09 | BRAND AND COOPER 337 OPENING STAND Culcairn pair Steven Brand (157) and Jamie Cooper (165) combined last Saturday to record an amazing opening partnership of 337 against Osborne at Culcairn. The partnership is believed to be a Holbrook DCA record with many of the association’s stalwarts never witnessing or remembering such a score line in the past fifty plus seasons.

16 Dec 09 | Commander Norman Holbrook’s Victoria Cross and medals were unveiled at the Australian War Memorial on Friday. His medals were made available, on loan from the Greater Hume Shire Council on behalf of the community of Holbrook, NSW.
