Henty’s number one bowling team defeated old rivals Culcairn to claim the Odewahn Shield in the major country clubs competition at the weekend.
On a day that most people were safely indoors, Henty bowlers braved the elements and travelled to Howlong to contest Holbrook in the semi-final of the Odewahn Shield.

TRYC have maintained its unbeaten start to the 2008/09 HDCA season with a hard fought 20 run win over Holbrook at the Ten Mile Creek Oval in Holbrook.
TRYC overcame the loss of captain and opening bat Jeremy Bunn to the first ball of the game to finish with a modest total of 7/180 on the slower than usual TMCO outfield, after overnight rain.

A maiden first grade century by Henty teenager Ben Klemke has piloted the Swampies to a convincing victory over Holbrook in round two of HDCA at Henty.
The talented left handed opening bat batted superbly to register a career high (104) as the Swampies passed the Brookers modest total of 139 for the loss of just two wickets.
05 Nov 08 | Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Anthony Albanese, and NSW Minster for Roads, Michael Daley announced on Thursday the first section of the Hume Highway duplication project was now open to traffic.
Mr Albanese said the traffic switch was a major milestone for the federally funded project to duplicate 67 kilometres of the highway between the Sturt Highway and Table Top.
